Interested students should select from the list on the left the type of internship they are seeking. Each internship type lists the eligibility criteria, qualifications, duration and wage. The online application link is located on each page. You may apply for more than one program. If you are selected and accept an INL internship, you are ineligible to participate in any other internship program during the same time. Because the education benefits of the internship appointment are the primary focus of the program, you may not provide services for compensation to a third party that conflicts with your internship appointment.
NOTE: Foreign national students who wish to apply for an INL undergraduate or graduate internship, must be currently attending a United States university on a F-1 visa and if selected, will be required to initiate a Curricular Practical Training (CPT) or Optional Practical Training (OPT) with your university visa office/department in order to be eligible to be employed at INL. If you meet the eligibility criteria, please click on this link online application to apply.
Awards, prizes, scholarships, and Veterans Administration benefits, and other payments may be acceptable, provided such payments do not represent dual payment for the same activity.
INL is a drug-free workplace.
