In 1973, the scope of the Evaluated Nuclear Data File/B (ENDF/B), the base of evaluated nuclear data used in the U.S. program in Reactor Research and Technology, was expanded to include, for the first time, evaluated decay data. The INL group was assigned the responsibility for deciding the data content and format for this expanded file, as well as responsibility for data evaluation. Evaluated data for 198 radioactive nuclides, deemed most important for reactor technology, first appeared in Version IV of ENDF/B in 1975. This work has continued, with the latest version of ENDF/B (Version VI) containing INEEL evaluations of decay data for 510 nuclides, involving fission products, activation products, and actinide nuclides (and members of their decay chains). These data can be obtained from the National Nuclear Data Center (NNDC) at Brookhaven National Laboratory.
