Evaluation of Precise gamma-ray Energies

In 1979, Dr. Richard Helmer, along with Drs. Cor van der Leun of the Rijksuniversiteit, Utrecht, The Netherlands and Piet Van Assche, Belgium, published an article entitled “Recommended Standards for -ray Energy Calibration (1979).” This paper is still used as the reference document for precise -ray energies for detector calibration. Dr. Helmer and Dr. van der Leun have prepared a draft manuscript updating the data from the 1979 publication to include newer measurements as well as the subsequent adjustment of the fundamental constants and other related data. Although this revision has not yet been submitted for publication, information is available from Dr. Helmer on request.
