| Power Systems personnel have participated in numerous distribution equipment research, development, demonstration, testing, and evaluation programs for the US Navy Civil Engineering Laboratory. Major accomplishments include the development of a power cable diagnostic monitoring system, product testing and advancement of high efficiency, environmental hazard-free dry type transformers (primarily cast coil and amorphous core types), and research into the use of acoustic emission detection techniques for detecting partial discharges in cast coil transformers. | |
