Bioprocessing is focused on the benefit and consequence of metabolic transformation, environmental interaction, and process development. Areas of interest address both the science and engineering of research as well as application. Participating projects and tasks are focused on:
- Understanding and optimization of transformations for the production of economically and commercially viable products, commodities, or processes
- Understanding and control of detrimental transformations or biologically mediated circumstance that result in undesirable conditions such as process fouling or environmental compromise.
