As part of the INL business management team the supply chain directorate provides internal customers with processes and resources for planning, acquiring, managing, and disposing of materials and services needed to meet INL needs. Our supply chain execution processes embraces a life cycle management philosophy that enables the INL mission.

Today, the INL is solving critical problems and offering technology solutions related to the environment, energy production and use, and national security through partnerships with private industry, colleges, and universities. Supply chain processes are a vital link in the success of the INL's mission through managing the sourcing, acquisition, and physical distribution of goods and services.

Core Functions

SCM is comprised of two primary functions for the INL; the purchasing system and the property management system. These systems are implemented through two departments, Procurement Services and Logistics & Property Management.
