This invention consists of alloys, and methods of making the same, that are strengthened by nano-meter size hollow oxides which serve as the nucleation sites for chromium rich carbide precipitates within the alloy grains that are in a liquid form that is sprayed on. It improves the properties and performance of metallic alloys and gives enhanced strength with good retained ductility.
