We are pleased to assist you in obtaining technical resources and skills from DOE’s INL. Flexible business arrangements are available for both Federal agencies and commercial businesses including the Work for Others (WFO) program and Cooperative Research and Development Agreements (CRADAs).
Contractual mechanisms to obtain resources are:
- Work For Others. The INL will perform work for the private sector utilizing our personnel and facilities or yours. Activities can include research and development or applied engineering. — Work For Others Fact Sheet 245kB PDF
- Cooperative Research and Development Agreements (CRADAs). CRADA, an agreement between federal laboratories and nonfederal parties, allows federal laboratories to provide personnel, facilities, equipment, or other resources with or without reimbursement.— CRADA Fact Sheet 77kB PDF

- Spin-off Business. Spin-off businesses commercialize the INL’s technology and expertise. The taxpayer benefits because commercially viable technologies, which solve both governmental and private sector issues, are provided to the public.
